Recipe: Restaurant Style Salsa
| | |
Ingredients
- 1 can (28 Ounce) Whole Tomatoes With Juice
- 2 cans (10 Ounce) Rotel (diced Tomatoes And Green Chilies)
- ¼ cups Chopped Onion
- 1 clove Garlic, Minced
- 1 whole Jalapeno, Quartered And Sliced Thin
- ¼ teaspoons Sugar
- ¼ teaspoons Salt
- ¼ teaspoons Ground Cumin
- ½ cups Cilantro (more To Taste!)
- ½ whole Lime Juice
Preparation Instructions
Combine whole tomatoes, Rotel, onion, jalapeno, garlic, sugar, salt, cumin, lime juice, and cilantro in a blender or food processor. Pulse until you get the salsa to the consistency you’d like—I do about 10 to 15 pulses. Test seasonings with a tortilla chip and adjust as needed.
Refrigerate salsa for at least an hour. Serve with tortilla chips or cheese nachos.

ya that pioneer lady is crazy. she has about a million page long love story about how she and her husband met and got married. read it once on night shifts a couple years ago. she's crazy, but the things i've tried of her's are usually good (although not usually low on fat)
yeah, she puts cream in everything just like Paula Dean. Did you try the salsa though!!?
i love love love the pioneer woman! (polly, i know that does not surprise you!) her recipes are not low fat, but all tend to be very yummy! her "bacon wrapped jalapeno thingies" are aaa-mazing! and her sense of humor is so dry and it always cracks me up! i know you probably didn't know i read this blog, but i have for a while, and i love it! thanks for letting me read and comment! :) reg
p.s.-- that million page long love story is being made into a book! it's coming out in february. in case you want to re-read it, or in case miranda wants to read it without scrolling through all the blog pages!
